Student projects at Bits and Bots Learning

See what our students have been creating

Students at Bits and Bots Learning work on a wide variety of hands-on projects across coding, robotics, 3D design and printing, electronics and engineering.

Projects change from term to term, giving students opportunities to work with different technologies, develop new skills and build on what they have learned previously.

Explore some of the projects our Junior Bots and Pixel Pioneers students have been working on.

Coding and game projects

Students create games and coding projects using different platforms and technologies.

Projects have included Scratch quiz games, fruit catcher and soccer goalie games, clicker games, tower defence games and top-down dungeon crawlers.

Robotics projects

Our robotics projects use Edison robots, LEGO Spike Essential and LEGO Spike Prime.

Students have programmed robots to navigate mazes, created Robo-soccer and kick-off robots, and worked on more complex robotics challenges using motors and sensors.

3D design and printing

Students use CAD to design objects before seeing some of their ideas produced on our 3D printers.

Projects have included name tags, coins, pencil holders, fidget toys, hinged boxes and rubber band cars.

Electronics projects

Electronics activities range from simple circuits through to larger projects combining design, construction and electronic components.

Students have created LED circuits, alarms, lemon batteries, buzzer games and operation-style games.

Micro-bit projects

Micro gives students another way to combine coding with a physical device.

Bits and Bots students have created projects including a digital compass, step counter, light and temperature meters, rock, paper, scissors and an alien invasion game.
